Associated Content: Paying you for your writing

Posted on June 20, 2007. Filed under: Getting paid to write |

Most people write because they enjoy it and most of those who write, would love to do it and get paid. Here is your chance to jump on train to being paid for your writing.

Associated Content Is a place for people to write and get paid for doing it. They accept all types of article submissions as well as videos.

Associated Content seemed like the perfect place to write and be paid. I had to put it to the test, after all, what could I lose?

Review:

I submitted my article and waited to see what would happen. It was about five days before I received a reply from them. My article had been rejected. I didn’t give up there though, I had to try again.

My second article was eccepted and I received just over $5 for it. That wasn’t much but it only took me about 30 minutes to do the research and to write it. So basically, if I wrote two articles and got paid a minimum of $5 for them, I would have made $10 in an hour and still would not have to physically go to work. Not bad for someone who never changed out of their Scooby Doo pj’s.

I tried it again and again to see if the pay would change for me. It did, some of my articles would be rejected, others would get the minimum, and some would get over $10. I didn’t care though, it took me hardly anytime to write them.

The pay was put directly into my paypal account 3-5 after I accepted the offer that they had proposed. This was good because if I kept writing for them, I would end up having money in my account everyday.

The downfall of Associated Content is that they only eccept people from the United States for now and the money has to go into a paypal account.

Referrals are paid only after that person has at least one article published and you are paid a one time payment of $3. This kinda bites because you don’t make a percentage of their earnings, only the one time payment.

The cool part is that they now have a performance bonus that allows you to get paid even after you initial payment for your article. The way that this works is that you get paid for people who just view your page. It is a good thing to get your family to start checking out your articles so that you get paid for the page views.

The performance bonus is paid once a month and usually on the 15th of the month, with a minimum of $15. The payment will be held if you don’t reach the $15 until you have reached it.

I like the new performance bonus because now it gives you two ways for Associated Content to pay you, once for the article and again for the page views that you receive.

Give it a try, you might like it.
